Exclusion As A Form Of Control - 1512 Words
Exclusion as a form of control is contingent upon the belief what you are excluding is the problem. Usually however, what is being excluded, like a criminal, is the symptom of a much bigger problem (a failing education system, povertyâ⬠¦etc). Additionally, the idea that a human can be ââ¬Å"fixedâ⬠in a psychiatric facility is also contingent on there being one source and one problem that can be identified and dealt with. Humans are complex, and we canââ¬â¢t assume to know how effecting one part will effect the whole. Again, complexity is disregarded for the sake of the image that is at stake. The image in this case, is a safe and civilized community. Criminals threaten to disrupt the boundaries we have put in place in society. By breaking laws orâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦This is obviously unrealistic, but that doesnââ¬â¢t stop us from trying. Disease is part of nature, and on an environmental level it is a natural form of population control. There is a sort of i gnorant arrogance that comes with being a human in society. We donââ¬â¢t try and live in harmony with nature, and accept death from disease as a natural process, rather we fight nature and do our best to outsmart it through inventions like antibiotics. We use nature to our advantage when it is convenient, but we disregard it when it threatens our structures and rules. In contrast, it is worth noting that war, which also contributes to premature death and goes against societyââ¬â¢s ideals is not nearly as obsessed upon. There is no ââ¬Å"war awareness monthâ⬠like there is a ââ¬Å"breast cancer awareness month.â⬠The reason for this is because war is much more complex and a product of our own boundaries. Yes, we say things like ââ¬Å"war is badâ⬠or ââ¬Å"terrorists are evilâ⬠but it is exactly that kind of dichotomous thinking that perpetuates the violence. Actually eliminating war would mean shifting the way we interact with each other in the world. It would mean not simplifying people to good and bad, but accepting everyone with their differences. We created war, and itââ¬â¢s a product of the divisive boundaries we set for ourselves in society. Instead of eliminating the boundary we act in ways that give

American Sphinx The True Character Of Thomas Jefferson...
Many books have been written about Thomas Jefferson, the writer of the Declaration of Independence, the first secretary of state the third president of the United States of America, but the majority are biographies. In the book American Sphinx: The True Character of Thomas Jefferson, author, Joseph J. Ellis, writes about the character of Thomas Jefferson, by examining his thoughts, actions, and writings in different periods of his life. Ellis starts off the first chapter of his book with what many would call a blemish on oneââ¬â¢s character, owning slaves. Throughout Jeffersonââ¬â¢s life, he owned give or take 200 slaves. But, between 1784 and 1794, he sold or gifted 161 of his slaves and upon his death, periodically, five members ofâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦He saw ââ¬Å"each proposed revision [to the Declaration] as another defacement.â⬠Also, during his time as president, it is only documented that he gave two public addresses, his two inaugural addresses. After he retired and returned to Monticello, Jeffersonââ¬â¢s tone noticeably changed according to his guests that visited him at his home; his speech became more animated and rapid. During his time in the public eye, his character was both questioned and assaulted. The first time his character was questioned was when he was the Governor of Virginia. Supposedly, Jefferson fled on horseback when a detachment of General Cornwallisââ¬â¢s troops almost captured him at his home in the early parts of what is now known as the Revolutionary War. His action was seen as a cow ardly leading to an investigation of his conduct, but it was eventually dropped. His character was once again assaulted during his presidential campaign and as president because of his religious beliefs, his association with Thomas Paine, and his supposed sexual relationship with aShow MoreRelated My Friend Hamilton -Who I shot Essay6642 Words à |à 27 Pagesduel between Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton holds a significant relevance in American history and should be examined within the context of early American culture and politics. This assertiveness certifies the establishments to come upon shifting employments, production strategies and knowledge based skills of the employees. Numerical flexibility incorporates the power to adapt the figure of personnel or the entireness of times that every single worker performs, in reaction to the differences of demand. Monetary modification includes a company's competence to control engagement costs in return to possessions and request at the external exertions of marketplace. The purposes of practical in addition to scientific tractability are equipped with stress-free determinations to move discretely from dependable measures of remunerations. It is engrossed in the track of modified organizations stuck on performance. This would motivate and inspire the employees to ensure long term s ustainable effort that would refer to superior contribution in the direction of the successful presentation of strategies of work-related matters (Manzoor, 2011). An establishment of flexible arrangement would involve core set of personnel to comprise full-time workforces who would perform the significant actions and responsibilities in the firm (Atkinson 1984). Adjacent to the core staffs might stand the outlying assemblies of personnel termed as peripheral groups. There can be dual sorts of outlying clusters. The principal kind of out-of-the-way groups entails of workforces that have perpetual agreements, nevertheless possesses rarer occupational openings plus less commitment of security. The additional sort of outlying collections comprises of job-sharing workers, part time service holders, or personnel that remain on short-term conventions. Mobility within the workplace is witnessed as an imperious and ultimate feature of current foundations. Evolving productive tactics for gentleness in the workplace points to a fundamental gradation in an organization, as once such procedures are active; it impacts in intensified output, professional satisfaction, an appreciation in functioning comfort, and ultimately leads to grander efficiency and execution in the practicable market situations. Freedom of movement formulates a very momentous measure while progressing workplace methodologies and understanding the long-term purposes of a business (Anastasia, 2014). The drive and objective of the works of manager stands to determine and denote the diverse clarifications of suppleness within the place of effort; give more significance on by what means workplace compliance enlarges engagement plus maintenance to avoid conflicts. This needs to appreciate the perception of the Atkinson well-founded idealism; design of demonstrations of fle xibility arrangements in establishments, the welfares in backing for the concern along with participants of employees, arrangement for training and development, empowerment of the personnel and by what method it lastly promotes to the achievement of any certified pursuit (Armstrong, 2010). Figure: Atkinson's flexible category of demonstration of idealism (Source: Atkinson, 1984) Accordingly of the incessant unorthodoxies in the commercial world, institutions which lack suppleness amongst their working situations are essentially at high possibility of catastrophe. International and internal competitive pressures; key financial events and technical distinctions ensure the companies to observe greater forms of impressionability and proficiency, not to designate the strategies determined on revolution and awareness following the inspiring market situations (Bishop, 2013). Figure: Role of Manager (Source: McClelland, 2014) Managers as negotiators Negotiation transpires among two or further codependent parties who ensure a professed conflict amid their requirements, however accept as true a discussed conclusion. Parties might not identically comprehend the subtleties of intervention of manager. Managers ought to be a great representative. Negotiation stands as a conflict resolving development wherein two or added parties discourse their dissimilarities and endeavor to influence conciliation on their collective resolutions In the system of Distributive or else Zero Sum Negotiating, compromise is observed as the leading step to bring about matters to avoid them to develop greater and it expenses the lowest than supplementary disagreement determination procedures. There is simply one champion demanding assessment for themselves which gains by individual origination at the cost of the other side. Integrative or Non-Zero Summation of Negotiating may help to recognize the objectives as well as without dropping can generate the signi ficance of assessment. Distributive can lead to modification with the implication of Integrative and vice versa (McLennan, 2013). According to the distributive negotiation technique, first proposal is completed with securing measures of counter suggestion - affixing cost for subsequent party may well debate on the evidences to back and the circumstantial accounts exchange faster with arrangement that extends to wherever approximating intermediate approach. It is suitable when the time-limit is small. The consequences are not critical to either of the parties and the affiliation amid the groups is not injured with an available price. .In this respect, if an administrator has a exceptional proficiency of compromise, it may be useful to the society not merely business-wise however it might affect interpersonal relations since it possibly will curtail the clashes without valuation of enormous dimensions of price (Schmitt, 2012). Managers as Mediators Mediation is the unique method of the commitment as per the determination of classifications that ought to be easy-going and support to decide on the disagreements among two parties where there remain diverse elegances of arbitration which exist as evaluative intercession and transformative patterns of conciliation. As a director who opts for evaluative facilitation style, the leader have a duty to support the events to influence the determination by directing out strong point and feebleness of their circumstance and may foresee what a magistrate or adjudicators would be expected to ensure. Correspondingly, the evaluative moderator as a supervisor requires signifying unceremonious or formal approvals to the parties to determine the effect of the concerns (Whitley Glo?ser, 2014). As regards the transformative arbitrator as a director, intercession ought to be founded on the ethics of authorization for every single member of both the parties in addition to acknowledgment and the principles of rationality benefits, requests, and values besides the perspectives. Moreover, it is acceptable to interconnect each of the parties by accentuating the rapport concerning them. In this respect, the contentment using the transformative manner of arbitration might be sophisticated than others since each of the members of the parties could sense their viewpoints are well perceived in the procedure (Zvavahera, 2015). Centered on two diverse sophistications of the arbitration, it appears that the starring role of the director as an intermediary person stands on the perception that managers ought to attend to each partys standpoint and appreciate the matters of the arguments. Furthermore, the managerial executives have a duty to discover each partys necessities and desires which are indispensable to make concession. The managers ought to confirm and authorize the consequence in written form of artifact after considering the decisions based on the judgment of opinion that would serve mutual agreements (Murerwa et al. 2014). Conclusion The diverse financial, communal, political, legitimate, industrial and environmental situations of miscellaneous nation-states impact on numerous designs of mental realization to accomplish victory in their potential professions. There causes psychological despairs, anguishes, conflicts of attitudes, distressing statuses within the outlying and in-house situation of the group outstanding to the disillusionment of strategies and ideologies of Managerial Responsibilities Recommendation A manager must produce decisions for common gain, approve inspired problem resolving attitude accept development of free-associating values, perceive other perceptions and concepts, engender and customize unprejudiced conditions to estimate reimbursement terms as an instance, salary consultations that serves the target for related situations. The aim is to confirm promises which are not random but reasonable to all the adoptions of compromise policy that affects the status as a manager to master the methods of win-win resolutions. Sales Management Research Proposal Essay Example
Sales Management Research Proposal Essay Introduction Present-day business environment is rapidly changing importing certain changes into the process of selling goods and services. Some of these changes can be rather dramatic, affecting the most essential principles of sales management. Being a separate field of management, sales management performs fundamental functions, which influence the operation of a company in the market, its profitability or losses as result of successful or unsuccessful establishment of relationship with potential customers. Though sales managers perform multiple functions, it is possible to distinguish two main functions, which include to achieve companyââ¬â¢s goals (dispose off the goods and services, receive a new market share and etc) and to provide companyââ¬â¢s owners or top management with the report concerning the level of sales volumes. The job of a sales manager is very challenging due to the high rate of responsibility sales managers have to undertake upon accepting the job. Such high rate of r esponsibility is explained by the necessity to establish close interaction with the customers or groups of customers, which should be achieved as a result of sales managerââ¬â¢s work. Goods and services turnover represented in money means appears to be the main index, evidencing how a company was operating during a certain period of time, how many goods and services have been produced and sold to the consumers, and how much profit it brought to the company. And as the conditions of selling are constantly changing, it is up to sales management to adapt to these changing conditions and to develop methods of more effective selling of products to consumers. The main goal of designing current study is to speak about the role and main functions of sales management, the ways it uses to adapt to the changing business environment and the role of selling in the modern economy. The paper will also focus on the relationship between companies and their customers by the example of the company known as ââ¬Å"Merckâ⬠which has been operating in pharmaceutical industry for a rather long period of time. 1. Key Concepts of Sales Management Sales management as one of the key elements of management was designed to address the needs of companies in terms of selling their goods and services to as many customers as possible, while keeping records of the sales volumes. Sales management appeared rather long time ago, however, until now it remains an effective tool predetermining companyââ¬â¢s either profits or losses. When speaking about sales management it is in the first place necessary to speak about so-called ââ¬Å"direct executorsâ⬠of the main tasks of sales management known as sales managers. So, who is a sales manager? A sales manager is a person, who is in charge of the process of selling of goods and services to consumers. Usually a sales manager is the head of the whole department, performing the functions of leader, supervisor, companyââ¬â¢s representative, technical expert and etc. Thus, it is fair to note that sales managers ââ¬Å"conceivably have one of the more eclectic, demanding, and crucial man agerial jobs in businessâ⬠[7]. Due to the reports that have been drawn up based upon multiple scientific researches ââ¬Å"the sales managerââ¬â¢s responsibility for handling the entire interface with the customer is possibly the single most important factor in creating and perpetuating company successâ⬠[7]. 1.1. Major Functions Performed by Sales Managers Daily We will write a custom essay sample on Sales Management Research Proposal specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now We will write a custom essay sample on Sales Management Research Proposal specifically for you FOR ONLY $16.38 $13.9/page Hire Writer We will write a custom essay sample on Sales Management Research Proposal specifically for you FOR ONLY $16.38 $13.9/page Hire Writer When a person accepts position of the sales manager he/she undertakes significant responsibility as the amount of duties of sales managers usually exceeds the amount of duties other employees have to fulfill. Duties, role and functions are what make sales managers different from usual salespeople or individual sales representatives. Sales managers are ââ¬Å"charged with effectively managing and leading sales forces in their revenue-generating and customer relationship activitiesâ⬠[7]. The first function that sales managers perform is organizing the work of the sales department, which includes planning, motivating and controlling the work of salespeople, customer service representatives, sales representatives and other staff. Sales managers are responsible for interviewing and hiring new employees, and training and developing employees that have already been hired. They also have to develop schedules for work, where every employee will be assigned his/her specific duties. Anoth er function of sales managers is to conduct daily oversight of the work of departments if a sales manager is employed at a large company with many departments. However, if a sales manager is equated to an individual sales representative, for example, when he/she is working in a small company, which does not require the establishment of a separate department, then sales managerââ¬â¢s functions are the following: ââ¬Å"direct selling, customer service, working with managers, managing information, working with others, training/recruiting, entertaining, and out-of-town travelâ⬠[2]. Functions that are performed according to the duties of a sales manager or salesperson largely depend on the ââ¬Å"job type, industry and countryâ⬠[2]. For example, in pharmaceutical industry, it is more wide spread to have a sales manager employed at a pharmaceutical company, like it is done at Merck, where subsidiaries have their own sales managers, who are in charge of the whole sales depa rtments, including the sales managers who are in charge of web-based pharmacies. This is done due to the growing necessity of ââ¬Å"assuring the quality of medical care, guaranteeing the accuracy of exchanged information, fraud, and abuse have rapidly become evidentâ⬠[5]. As the authors of the book ââ¬Å"Sales Management: A Global Perspectiveâ⬠John B. Ford and D. Honeycutt note: ââ¬Å"since sales activities vary by industry and location, then it appears certain that the sales job also differs by cultureâ⬠[2]. That is why functions that are performed by sales managers in one country may significantly differ from functions performed by sales managers from other countries. For example, salespersons in Germany, Denmark, and the United States are ââ¬Å"engaged in such common activities as closing a sale, monitoring competition, overcoming objections, studying market trends, and providing/receiving feedbackâ⬠[2], while ââ¬Å"few salespersons provided maintenance, delivered products, created advertising, stocked products, or installed equipmentâ⬠[2]. In some countries, for example the USA, salespeople focus more ââ¬Å"on prospecting (94 percent US versus 41 percent for German and 38 percent for Danish firms)â⬠and the US sal espersons also ââ¬Å"expedited customer orders at higher levels than German and Danish salespersonsâ⬠[2]. Though the functions of sales managers and salespeople vary greatly within industries, countries and cultures, common features can still be found. The first feature, which has already been mentioned above, is high rate of responsibility sales managers have to undertake when accepting the job. Another common feature is that usually sales managers work at least 40 hours a week and have to be prepared to work overtime during sales and holidays. Also, sales managers need to have certain qualities of a leader and be able to come up with creative ideas when necessary. 1.2. The Strategic Role of Selling Within the Organization The following point to be discussed will be the strategic role of selling. The process of selling has a very long history, starting at the ancient times and continuing until now. Changing economic relations in society have been impacting the role and the meaning of selling greatly, altering and transforming it. Selling has a great role not only for organizations, who need to sell the goods they have produced, but also for all people, who are used to buying what they need, and if nobody is selling what they need, then they cannot satisfy their needs, including the basic ones. As a lot of scientists agree, the area of sales ââ¬Å"remains an important strategic and operational focus for businessesâ⬠[3]. Though the process of selling has undergone certain changes it is still remains one of the core activities every company is engaged in. In order to reach success and create a highly profitable company, its owners need to establish an effectively working sales mechanism, which pred etermines the success of the majority of firms operating in the market. At this point the role of selling and sales management is the greatest, as ââ¬Å"without sales representatives and managers calling on customers, there is a strong likelihood of organizational failureâ⬠[3]. Why would it happen? The answer to the question is rather simple. A company, which may in theory produce the best product in the world, will end up losing everything in practice if it hasnââ¬â¢t established the relationship with customers and hasnââ¬â¢t sold anything. As the author of the article ââ¬Å"Sales in the 1990s: A Decade of Developmentâ⬠David J. Good notices ââ¬Å"the customers and sales have to originate from ââ¬Å"somewhereâ⬠, while ââ¬Å"this ââ¬Å"somewhereâ⬠is the direct effort of the salesperson who creates an opportunity for the selling organizationâ⬠[3]. Sales managersââ¬â¢ role at this point is to make the role of selling a reality, which means to develop the process of selling by introducing products to the market, by attracting potential customers, by establishing relationship with key customers groups with the help of market segmentation, product differentiation and other marketing strategies. Some scientists argue that the role of selling and sales management is not so important as compared to marketing, however, knowing marketing strategies a sales manager will be able to establish close relationship with customers, sell goods to them and keep records of the sales volumes. Logically, if a company is unable to sell its products, it will not receive any profit as the revenue will be negative or equal to zero. In this case, a company will be losing money that it invested into the production of goods, and there will be no sense in continuing to produce the goods as it leads to losses rather than profits. With the money gained from selling, a company will clear its current liabilities, including bank loans, arrears of wages, taxes and etc. Net profit, the amount of money which is left after all liabilities are cleared, will be reinvested into the company for further operation. Merck, being a giant in pharmaceutical industry, is nowadays a leading company according to its sales volumes, for example, ââ¬Å"Merckââ¬â¢s overall sales in 1999 were valued at $32.714 billionâ⬠[8]. The role of selling for Merck is as important as for other organizations, because Merck is ââ¬Å"one of the worldââ¬â¢s leading drug firms, which discovers, develops, manufactures, and markets a broad range of innovative products to improve human healthâ⬠[8]. 2. Training and Motivation within the Organization Training and motivation is of significant importance for any company, which is planning to stay competitive for a long period of time. Some companies provide training to new employees upon hiring, while others use training programs in order to add more skills to employees who have been already working at a company. Employee training is an effective method of improving qualification of employees and increasing their performance. However, training is not the only method of increasing employeesââ¬â¢ performance, because other methods such as developing and motivation also exist. In order to motivate employees, a company may establish a system of bonuses for employees with higher performance; offer them additional days off, if the work is done in advance and etc. It depends on what goals a company strives for, when individual and group bonuses are established, for employees who excel individually or for groups of employees who managed to create successful teams. For example, Merck believes that ââ¬Å"individual endeavour is the key to performanceâ⬠[4]. That is why it spends large financial resources on employee training and developing. In order to hire efficient employee, Merck at first ââ¬Å"hires the best students and nurtures them in an environment that promotes both commercial viability and scientific recognition: within commercial constraintsâ⬠[4]. At Merck people are motivated with by a so-called ââ¬Å"noble purposeâ⬠, which lies in the goal ââ¬Å"to preserve and improve lifeâ⬠[4]. This kind of motivation also works rather effectively, because people work thinking that they do something good for the whole humanity. 3. Relationship between Customers and Sales Representatives As it has been mentioned above, one of the key functions of sales managers and sales representatives is to establish relationship with customers. However, the establishment of long-term relationship with customers requires certain skills and knowledge. So, in order to reach a success a sales manager needs to learn customerââ¬â¢s needs and preferences in order to meet them, he/she needs to have certain knowledge of cultural differences within different countries if a company is operating worldwide. Knowing cultural heritage of a foreign country is necessary in order to ââ¬Å"understand the cultural forces which shape and affect the interactions between salespeople and customers as well as the interactions between salespeople and sales managersâ⬠[2]. Because modern business environment is considerably impacted by culture, sales managers and sales people, who work directly with customers, have to understand the language, manner of speaking, body language and other cultural pec uliarities of a target audience, in a way so ââ¬Å"their words, actions, and body language can all be strategically shaped to enhance the potential for not only a positive interaction, but also the development of a long-term profitable relationship with that customerâ⬠[2]. Operating worldwide Merckââ¬â¢s sales managers are adapting their patterns of working to every foreign environment they have to work at. Thus, sales managers and salespeople at Merck are aware of not only needs and preferences of their customers, but they also have sound knowledge of cultural background of their clients, which helps them to win the hearts of more and more customers. In conclusion to this point it is necessary to emphasize that nowadays many ââ¬Å"firms believe it is more efficient to build relationships that result in long-term businessâ⬠[2] rather than spending a lot of money on advertising and promotional campaigns. 4. Changing Role of Selling and Sales Management Due to multiple changes that occur (technological, demographic, economic changes) in the modern society selling and sales management also undergoes certain changes. With the wide spread of Internet and other communication means, the role of selling has changed, as new ways of selling, such as selling through the Internet, appeared. Nowadays, very often sales managers do not have to establish direct communication with customers, as they can ââ¬Å"construct web sites on the worldwide web to provide their publics with information about the firm and its offeringsâ⬠[2]. In their turn, consumers can order goods and services also over the web. In this case ââ¬Å"the sales manager transitions from being the manager of sales to the manager of the sales force ââ¬â the latter being a true managerial positionâ⬠[2]. Hence, in order to work effectively in the e-commerce ââ¬Å"the sales force must be properly selected, trained, led, and compensated to become expert at solving cus tomer problemsâ⬠[2]. Demographic changes and the creation of the global market also impact the role of selling and sales management. Under these circumstances sales managers have to work with sales people from different countries and different backgrounds, which means that sales managers will have to ââ¬Å"understand different cultures and establish management parameters that are inclusive of diverse people within the emerging workplaceâ⬠[2]. Conclusion Having spoken about the role and changing nature of sales managers it is necessary to make a conclusion. Modern sales management differs from the sales management that existed 20 years ago. Though the rate of responsibility for sales managers still remains very high, they have to adapt to technological, economical changes as the world of economy continues to develop. With the creation of the Internet the role of managers changed, as they do not have to be directly involved into the communication with customers, but can communicate with them through World Wide Web. Also, the role of managers seems even greater than it was 20 years ago, as nowadays companies wish to establish long-term relationship with customers, which appears to be one of the essential tasks of sales management. Free Essays on Coyote Holds A Full House In His Hand
Wily Coyote ââ¬Å"Coyote Holds a Full House in His Handâ⬠is a story full of rich cultural symbolism associated with the Pueblo people of the southwestern United States. While carefully acknowledging this fact, the writer of this essay also confesses that much of the significance of these symbols are over her euro-american head, and respectfully chooses to approach the story from the aspect of elements that resonate with her. The story is an interesting presentation full of double entendre with the protagonist narrating the story in the third person giving the reader somewhat of a bizarre look at the ââ¬Å"factsâ⬠through his eyes. Our protagonist, although fancying himself a bit of a ââ¬Å"wily coyote,â⬠is more closely what we would call today a loser. He lives, without gainful employment, with his enabling mother. She provides a roof and pays his bills while he justifies his lack of contribution. ââ¬Å"Coyoteâ⬠is a lonely soul who does not fare well with women. I find it a stretch to feel sorry for him since he walked away from a young woman who loved him and wanted to marry him because he understood she would expect him to provide for her. This clever slouch is not held in much esteem in his town, until one day he has an adventure that he believes will give him a fresh start in the men of his townââ¬â¢s eyes. Improve Your Planning Skills to Perform Better in College
Improve Your Planning Skills to Perform Better in College College can become a great struggle if you dont know how to balance your school, social life and probably a job. The ability to manage yourself and resources available to you, such as time and circumstances, determines your academic performance. If you want to be a successful and confident learner, you need to improve your planning skills. Why? Because planning and prioritizing will help you stay focused on the most important tasks and complete them on schedule. Here are a few simple tips on how to become more efficient by improving your planning skills. 1. Identify Critical Tasks First of all, you need to determine the most important tasks to make sure that they are done first. Accurately think about the crucial activities to be carried out during a day: maybe you have a scheduled meeting with your professor, a rehearsal with your band, need to conduct a research for your case study or write an urgent essay for your English class. It might be challenging to do it at first but as the time passes, youll be able to define the most relevant tasks among all other daily activities. 2. Arrange Tasks in a Logical Order To accomplish all the tasks that are assigned to you, you need to arrange them in a correct order. List all the things that should be done, the approximate time for their completion and the deadline. Then structure them in the following way: start from the smallest tasks that dont take much time and proceed with the more difficult and time-consuming ones. Do not immediately jump into doing a big task, it will just discourage you. Until you see that you have a lot of things to do, youll be overwhelmed. 3. Establish Priorities You need to differentiate between urgent, important and unimportant tasks. For instance, your essay with a one-day deadline is an urgent task. Starting to make a research for your paper is an important task but not critical. Watching a movie is an unimportant activity for your college performance, unless you need to write a movie review. You need to sort tasks by their significance for your academic success. 4. Create ââ¬Å"To-Doâ⬠Lists By making organized ââ¬Å"to-doâ⬠lists, youll be able to prioritize the things you need to do, keep track of what should be still accomplished and feel productive and prepared in all areas of your student life. To-do lists come in different shapes and forms, so its all about what works for you. There is a variety of apps that help create a personal to-do list or you can write information by hand to remember it better. Just make sure that your list is simple, specific and displayed in a prominent place to remind you of what is important. 5. Organize Personal Time for Your Responsibilities While planning, you need to find some time for your personal needs and responsibilities. Make sure that you always schedule such things as phone calls to your family, eating out with friends, shopping, etc. Your daily schedule should be realistic and include time for eating, sleeping and going out. If you just plan time for accomplishing the academic assignments, you will become exhausted very soon and wont be able to manage your workload. 6. Work Step-By-Step Working step-by-step will help you achieve a better output. If you have a systematic workflow and follow it, youll be more organized. Check your to-do list from time to time to make certain that you are on track and always cross out the tasks you have already completed. The feeling of progress will motivate you to do quality work in a faster way. 7. Remember the 6 Ps of Planning Proper Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance. Planning skills are important in everything you do. A person who is organized can deal with all the tasks more effectively in less time. Once you start developing your planning skills, youll see how a more productive student you become. You want to complete everything faster, dont you? Then force yourself to plan! Cyber Security Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words
Cyber Security - Essay Example In a computing context, the word security is used to denote cyber security. Effective cyber security employs coordinated efforts throughout the information system. Some of the major elements of cyber security include end-user education, application security, disaster recovery/ business continuity planning, network security and information security (Marshall, 85). World governments devote huge sums of their annual budgets towards enhancing cyber security with the United States in particular, since 2010 allocating over 13 million USD annually for the next 5 years to cyber security. The traditional way of ensuring cyber security has been to dedicate most of the effort and resources on the most crucial system components in attempts to keep in check the biggest known threats while partly neglecting some less important system components. However, this method has proved greatly insufficient especially in the age of the rapidly and constantly changing nature of security risks. Most cyber security measures are now embracing guidelines in their risk assessment framework that recommends a shift towards continuous monitoring and real-time assessments (Singer and Allan,

Spring Festival Essay Example for Free
Spring Festival Essay Spring Festival is the most joyful festival in China, and it is also the day of a family member reuniting. Do you want to know that Chinese how to celebrate this festival? Putting the spring festival scrolls up, hanging the lanterns, having the reunion meals, having dumplings, sitting up late and waiting for the ring of the New Year are all the Spring Festivalââ¬â¢s custom. All the activities contain the nice blessings and willing. For instance, eating fishes during the festival express that they hope they are abundant every year, and giving oranges and apples express lucky and safety. Before the New Year comes, the people completely clean the indoors and outdoors of their homes as well as their clothes, bedclothes and all their utensils. Then people begin decorating their clean rooms featuring an atmosphere of rejoicing and festivity. All the door panels will be pasted with Spring Festival couplets, highlighting Chinese calligraphy with black characters on red paper. The content varies from house owners wishes for a bright future to good luck for the New Year. Also, pictures of the god of doors and wealth will be posted on front doors to ward off evil spirits and welcome peace and abundance. Burning fireworks was once the most typical custom on the Spring Festival. People thought the spluttering sound could help drive away evil spirits. However, such an activity was completely or partially forbidden in big cities once the government took security, noise and pollution factors into consideration. As a replacement, some buy tapes with firecracker sounds to listen to, some break little balloons to get the sound too, while others buy firecracker handicrafts to hang in the living room. The Chinese character fu (meaning blessing or happiness) is a must. The character put on paper can be pasted normally or upside down, for in Chinese the reversed fu is homophonic with fu comes, both being pronounced as fudaole. Whats more, two big red lanterns can be raised on both sides of the front door. Red paper-cuttings can be seen on window glass and brightly colored New Year paintings with auspicious meanings may be put on the wall. People attach great importance to Spring Festival Eve. At that time, all family members eat dinner together. The meal is more luxurious than usual. Dishes such as chicken, fish and bean curd cannot be excluded, for in Chinese, their pronunciations, respectively ji, yu and doufu, mean auspiciousness, abundance and richness. After the dinner, the whole family will sit together, chatting and watching TV. In recent years, the Spring Festival party broadcast on China Central Television Station (CCTV) is essential entertainment for the Chinese both at home and abroad. According to custom, each family will stay up to see the New Year in. Waking up on New Year, everybody dresses up. First they extend greetings to their parents. Then each child will get money as a New Year gift, wrapped up in red paper. People in northern China will eat jiaozi, or dumplings, for breakfast, as they think jiaozi in sound means bidding farewell to the old and ushering in the new. Also, the shape of the dumpling is like gold ingot from ancient China. So people eat them and wish for money and treasure.

William Goldings Lord of the Flies :: Essays Papers
LORD OF THE FLIES My report is about the very well known book "Lord of the flies", by William Golding. There are many characters in this book, but the most important ones are Ralph, Jack, Simon, Piggy, and Roger. When I read this book I discovered a great change in most of their personalities, especially Jack's. So I would say that they are all dynamic characters. Ralph, in the beginning of the novel, had a boyish personality. Then later on in the novel, he became much more mature due to the fact that all of them had to live in a more civilized manner to get a long and to survive while waiting to be rescued. Jack, in the beginning of the novel was Ralph's most powerful antagonist. Then later on turned against Ralph and becomes leader. Simon is a unique character in the novel. He remains largely uninvolved with any of the power struggles between Ralph and Jack. He was killed. Roger is very mean. He killed Piggy by pushing a big bolder on top of him. Piggy was the intellectual in the group. He complained a lot in the beginning, but later on became more mature. But, unfortunately, he was killed by Roger. The novel begins about a group of English people who are marooned on a tropical island when the plane evacuating them from atomic war-torn England crashes. So now this group of boys are alone on this island. Then Ralph called an assembly to talk to the other guys about making a plan to get along and survive. The struggle starts in trying to make rules for the group to live by. There were many more conflicts through out the novel. But the main conflict is the boys trying to get along with each other and survive while waiting to be rescued from a

Does technology ensure progress? Essay
In this essay I will argue that technology does not ensure progress. The first main concept that needs to be clarified is ââ¬Ëtechnologyââ¬â¢. This paper acknowledges the concept ââ¬Ëtechnologyââ¬â¢ as being the application of science, especially to industrial or commercial objectives. The other key concept ââ¬Ëprogressââ¬â¢ in this essay is defined as a steady improvement, as a society or civilization. I am arguing that the concept of technology does not ensure the concept of progress because there are certain technologies that have hurt society in various ways. Furthermore, not all technologies ensure progress. Scientists have created various technologies for various reasons. It is evident that not all of these technologies are for the steady improvement of a society or civilization, but rather for personal gain. If a certain technology was invented to give a farmer a greater yield of crop, but this particular technology leads to the death of an ecosystem, then it is not progress in the sense it brings steady improvement to a society or civilization because it destroys the delicate balance of life and its biodiversity. The loss of biodiversity will hurt civilization in the long run because the foundations of life depend on it. Some people may think that certain technologies are the correct path for humanity, but certain technologies can manifest into things that people do not expect and hurt society by doing so. For instance, if scientists could predict that aliens would take over the earth if they invented a spaceship that could reach them, even though the scientists had not planned on finding earth invaders; surely they would have thought otherwise. This is an extreme example that has obviously not happened, but the birth of atomic energy is an example of technology thatââ¬â¢s intended purpose of giving houses and industries power manifested itself into a bomb for the military. Some may argue that the atomic bomb ensured progress for the Americanââ¬â¢s and allied forces, yet surely the Japanese society where the bomb was dropped during the Second World War did not find progress with this technology because it killed many innocent people and destroyed infrastructure. Certain technologies are seriously destroying the natural world. Thisà ultimately does not lead to the improvement of a civilization, but rather is causing it harm. If technology keeps generating harmful gases and toxic chemicals which poisons the earth, then it is of no good to civilization because humans need to earth to survive. Some readers might object to me answering that ââ¬Å"technology does not ensure progressâ⬠. Perhaps they believe if it wasnââ¬â¢t for technology humans may never have succeeded in being a dominant figure on earth and we would never have evolved enough to even ask the question in the first place. There are animals that are stronger, bigger, and faster then humans and external elements that can kill humans at ease, so by humans using technology to build defensive mechanisms or shelter for warmth it has ensured human survival in a world that can be unforgiving by natural things. If my concept of technology remained the same (the application of science, especially industrial or commercial), but the concept of progress changed to (development or growth) then one could answer ââ¬Ëyesââ¬â¢ to the question; ââ¬Å"does technology ensure progressâ⬠. This is evident in the manufacturing sector of our society where technology has enabled humans to build factories and warehouses to ensure development and growth of economics. The same could be said by keeping the concept of technology constant, but changing the definition of progress to (movement, as towards a goal). Scientistââ¬â¢s movement to create technology can be motivated by achieving goals. For instance, a certain product has to be on the market by a specific due date, otherwise the project will be terminated, so by scientists using technology and ensuring they get the job done they have moved forward and reached a goal. It is apparent that there are particular technologies that can help humans build a better society by keeping us warm and ensuring food to survive. However, certain technologies have manifested through the evolution of man that have unquestionably uninsured the progress of humans because it has brought harm to civilization through destruction and death. Perhaps scientists and the general public need to think long and hard about inventing certain technologies. This is all the more difficult because nobody can predict the future and certain technologies might seem like aà great idea at the time, but turn out to be a serious danger to all life on earth. This paper by no means is an indicator of which technologies are good for the betterment of society, but hopefully it will open the dialog between people to ask the question; which technology is ensuring progress?

Documentary Film Analysis of Tough Guise Essay
Documentaries are useful as research sources. They are also used quite frequently as supplemental learning tools in the classroom. A common writing assignment is a critical review or analysis of films. A good review will explain how the film has enhanced the learning experience, but it should also provide an account of your personal response. There are several standard components of a review: Step 1 Give details of the documentary â⬠¢Title of the film or documentary: Be sure to name the film in your first paragraph. State the date of its release. â⬠¢Intended Audience Step 2 Explain the purpose of the documentary â⬠¢What is the purpose of the documentary? â⬠¢What is the main message the director wants to get across to the audience? â⬠¢What sources are used? Step 3 State your prior knowledge of the subject â⬠¢Did you know anything about the subject before you watched the documentary? â⬠¢What did you expect to see? â⬠¢What questions did you have about the subject? Step 4 Summarize the documentary â⬠¢Who/what is the subject of the documentary? â⬠¢What happened in the documentary? â⬠¢What are the main events? â⬠¢Where was it filmed? Step 5 Talk about the sound effects, camera work, interviews, special effects â⬠¢Do you like the sound effects? â⬠¢Are the images sharp? â⬠¢How is the filming? What camera angles were used? â⬠¢Do you like the interviews? What have you learned from the interviews? â⬠¢Are there any special effects? Step 6 Give personal comments and recommendation â⬠¢Which part of the documentary do you like most? Include specific reasons for likes and dislikes. You canââ¬â¢t say ââ¬Å"it was boringâ⬠unless you provide justification. â⬠¢What have you learned from it? â⬠¢Was there anything that surprised you? â⬠¢What are the drawbacks of the documentary? Again, include specific reasons. â⬠¢Would you recommend this documentary to your friends? Why?

Like A Family Book Review essays
Like A Family Book Review essays Book Review of Like A Family Jacquelyn D. Hall, James Leloudis, Robert Korstad, Mary Murphy, Lu Ann Jones, and Christopher B. Daly wrote Like A Family. The book was published under W. W. Norton Like A Family was written to illustrate the emergence of the wage labor movement in the South through the textile industry and how these cotton mills evolved into a major economic way of life for Southerners. The origins of this book began during the 1970s by the Southern Oral History Program at the University of North Carolina. The authors wanted to capture the industrialization of the New South through orations by men and women whose past lay in an agrarian lifestyle to the transformation of these people to factory workers. Like A Family tries to bridge the gap between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries while contributing to the steady flow of working-class people in which women, children, and community life played a major role. The authors divided the book into two halves, with part one describing the evolution of the cotton mill world between 1880 and 1920; moreover, part two roughly covers 1920 to 1935 and how national policy and cultural trends affected the lives of those people involved with cotton mill labor. The story is told as a chronological narrative and the characters portrayed embody the values, which I found to be very endearing, that were instilled in me growing up in rural North Carolina. There are a lot of pictures and maps to impact the reader with a sense of how an agrarian southerner lived and the location of the factories that are discussed throughout the book. The creators of this book interviewed at least 200 people from that time period to exemplify the feelings and thoughts that were ominous in the south at that time. Conceptually speaking, the authors f...

The KT600 Chipset Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words
The KT600 Chipset - Essay Example In this article, the KT600 chipset from Via Technologies will be investigated with its operations, configurations and the layout demonstrated to understand the operations and configuration of the chipset (Via Technologies, 2012). The general arrangement of the KT600 chipset in relation to other PC components (Source: DragonByte technologies, 2012) The above chipset consist of the north and south bridge as shown in the diagram above. In the KT600 chipset, the Northern bridge handles all data from graphic ports, the AGP, or PCI express, and then from memory consisting of Front Side Bus, FSB (Via Technologies, 2012). Although the two chips are essential from the chipset, mostly, the Northern chipset handles most of the essential tasks, which include connection between the main memory bank and he CPU. On the other hand, the Southern bridge is responsible for data from PCIx1 slots and may even have some integrated components such as audio or onboard graphics. As shown on the figure above, the North and South bridges have different chips names though they are often paired with the same opposite bridges, to be referred to with the collective name of a chipset. The diagram shows all the components of a PC, and how these are connected to either the north or south bridges of the KT600 chipset. The main functions of the above chipset are to manage data throughout the PC. Data is transported throughout the PC through a bus. The bus is responsible for carrying data to its right location via the chipset. However, the Backside Bus (BSB); the bus between the cache memory and the CPU does not follow this rule. Some PCs today may have the cache memory, which makes it not necessary to go through the chipset when carrying this information in the PC. The BSB is however different from the main memory bus in that it only dictates the speed between the cache memory and the CPU. The memory bus speed is usually a different bus, with the ability to change the speed independently. Apart f rom the BSB the other buses go through the chipset to get required direction where to take the data. This implies the huge amount of data that goes through the chipset requires it to be up to speed. Speed is one of the important aspects that have to be considered when considering the above chipset, as poor choice of speed may severely hamper the performance of a computer. For example, with the advanced Fast stream 64 DDR400 Memory Controller on the VIA Apollo KT600 interweaves used together with the 400MHZ FSB, this results to a perfectly balanced subsystem that greatly reduces data latency and enhances searing performance from the latest processors, such as the AMD Athlon XP Processor. Moreover, the KT600 supports the AGP8X, which offers the chipset maximum performance from one of the most powerful graphic controllers (Via Technologies, 2012). A Figure of Gates diagram for KT600 Chipset The chipset operates according to the logic diagram portrayed above. The High Voltage Gate Drive rs are strategically designed and arranged to drive both high and the low side N channel MOSFETs in a half bridge synchronized configuration (Texas Instruments, 12). The floating high speed driver can operate with a supply voltage of up to 100V. Moreover, the A version provides a full 3A of gate drive, while the B and C provide the 2A and 1A versions respectively (Texas Instrument

The New Deal 1932-1940 Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words
The New Deal 1932-1940 - Essay Example It was the extreme poverty that afflicted certain sections of the society, in the backdrop of the economic recession that became the immediate provocation for a vision about a new deal. This essay is to suggest that though it was the New Deal that removed the stark social disparities that existed in the US society and paved way for the emergence of the US as a nation of equal opportunities, it cannot be called a totally fair deal when it comes to the long term welfare of social minorities and deprived groups. Background New Deal envisaged to deal with the socio-economic threats faced by American society as during that period, the unemployment rate in US was 25%, production output was drastically decreasing, deflation was at its worse, and all major industrial sectors were under the peril of economic depression Edsforth, 22-23; 153). Relief, recovery and reform were the ââ¬Å"3Rsâ⬠of New Deal (Edsforth, 54). The concept underlying the motto, ââ¬Ëreliefââ¬â¢, was to bring relief to the poor and unemployed sections of the society (Edsforth, 52). ... ts two stages of implementation, included many people-friendly legislations including the Works Progress Administration Relief Program, which gave relief to migrant laborers who were mostly Mexicans and Black people (Edsforth, 220, 231). The Social Security Act of this era was also an all-encompassing legislation, which provided relief to American women, Indians, and racial minorities (Edsforth, 213) . Fair Labor Standards Act (1938) was another new law that ensured minimum wages for all categories of workers and also laid down the maximum working hours (Edsforth, 277). The limits of change When the Great Depression came, Americans were unwarily celebrating the ââ¬Å"New Era Prosperityâ⬠(Edsforth, 20). Edsforth has described this scenario by calling it ââ¬Å"the new American dreamscape of universal mass consumptionâ⬠(Edsforth, 21). But soon the stock markets crashed, construction and automobile sectors which were having a boom declined suddenly, and these changes ââ¬Å "indicated that the practical limits of those able to buy into the new American Dream were fast being approachedâ⬠(Edsforth, 21). The wealth distribution was greatly tilted towards a small group of rich people and ââ¬Å"nearly 80 of all families had no savings whatsoever in 1929â⬠(Edsforth, 22). It was in this context that New Deal became an empathetic pat on the shoulder for the deprived groups. The New Deal and American Women The most important New Deal program that could be considered, pro-woman, was the Works Progress Administration (WPA), which was introduced in 1935 (Edsforth, 288). It opened up new job opportunities for single women, widows, and women who had physically handicapped husband or whose husbands had even temporarily abandoned them. Most of these women were given jobs in sewing, cloth

Women's History Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Women's History - Essay Example Even in cabinet or parliaments, women are underrepresented. It should be noted that population wise, the number of women in this world is more than the number of men. Yet they were deprived of equal opportunities in political circles with men. The conditions of the women were not so good in the past also. It should be noted that slavery and other social evils were prevailing not only in America but also in other parts of the world during past few centuries. Slavery was hyperactive during the period 1600-1820. Women community struggled more than male community because of slavery related problems as well as other social evils. Participation in politics was only a distant dream for women during the past. This paper analyses the political roles of women during the period 1600-1820. Carol Berkin in her article, ââ¬Å"The Effect of Slavery on African American Women Livesâ⬠clearly explains the social and political life of women in America during 1600-1820. ââ¬ËDenied by any legal abilities to control the conditions of their life, women labored according to their masterââ¬â¢s demands. Women were vulnerable to brutal punishments and to the separation of their families. They had no choice but to accept the marginal food and clothingâ⬠(ââ¬Å"Berkin, p.59). These facts clearly illustrate the typical lives of black women during the period of 1600-1820 in America. Many people have the illusion that the conditions of white women was so good in America during this period. In fact white women also faced lot of discriminations during this period even though they never faced harsh experiences as faced by the black women explained above. When talking about women in Africa and other countries of the global south (formerly known as the Third World), feminists often point out that these women must manage multiple forms of disadvantage or oppression. Not only do they suffer the universal subordination shared by women across the world, but also they must contend wit h living in poorer or less-developed countries(Women, Politics, and Power, p.27). Even today, African women are leading pathetic life compared to women in other parts of the world. They were forced to look after their family single handedly. African males treat their counterparts as inferior citizens. They never allow women to work in the mainstreams of social or political life. The case is not much different in Asia or Europe. In all these regions, the participation of women in politics was negligible during 1600-1820. Women all over the world started to get some kind of recognition in politics from the latter parts of 19 th century onwards. Womenââ¬â¢s modern-day participation in politics begins with the acquisition of voting rights (suffrage). The first country to fully enfranchise women, and the only country to give womenââ¬â¢s suffrage in the 19th century, was New Zealand in 1893. In 1902, Australia was the second country to give womenââ¬â¢s suffrage and was followed b y a variety of Western and Eastern European states. By 1945, 46% of the worldââ¬â¢s countries allowed women to vote (Women, Politics, and Power, p.16). These statistics clearly suggest that women started to get voting rights only during the latter periods of 19 th century. Before that, it was unimaginable for women to think in terms of participating in politics. Discrimination against women was evident even in some of the most civilized societies during the 1600-1820 period. Women were used only for the reproductive work during this period. In majority of the countries, women were treated as commodities rather than human beings in this period. It should not be forgotten that the conditions of women is not so good even at present in some of the Middle Eastern countries. Even

What does the fox say Essay Example for Free
What does the fox say Essay Billboard might have already christened Robin Thickes Blurred Lines as the song of the summer, but Norwegian duo Ylvis might have something more to say on the matter before the equinox hits. The Fox, by brothers Bà ¥rd and Vegard Ylvisà ¥ker, has gathered more than 17 million hits after a week on YouTube. It was released in the lead up to the newest season of the bands Norwegian television talk show,Tonight with Ylvis. They dont have an album out yet, but after the overwhelming response several songs will be available on iTunes in North America next week. The catchy tune is paired with the most absurd lyrics this side of the theme song to DuckTales. The brothers muse on the sounds animals make (Dog goes woof, cat goes meow) before asking, What does the fox say? The answer is a series of horrific shrieks such as Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow! and Chacha-chacha-chacha-chow! The brothers Ylvisà ¥ker dance in a forest at night dressed in fox costumes the likes of the Bloodhound Gang. Ylvis isnt new to the comedy music scene theyve been around since 2000 and have five other songs in English. Check out the arguably better Stonehenge, which begins as a mopey power ballad where a successful television show host is kept up at night ruminating on the ancient stone formation. In the past six days Ylvis have received offers for tours and record deals from all the biggest companies, a bewildered Bà ¥rd Ylvisà ¥ker told Billboard, saying he and his brother had no idea how The Fox ended up on the viral radar. Normally, you know we get some hits and we get some comments, but theyre all about the actual contents of the songs. But this was mostly about the phenomenon, which was really strange, even when it was only at 100,000 views.

American similarties to Rome :: essays research papers
American civilization could possible end up like the Roman Empire. The Romans did many of the same things that we are doing today right before they fell. We are probably not going to fall but we are not the best we could be. We should change our habits before they become worse. à à à à à The Romans did many things that led to their destruction. They ruined their morals by focusing on the moment and not worrying about the future. They stole jobs by bringing in slaves to work at latifundias which caused homelessness which lowered public health and caused crime to go up. Bringing in slaves also made them not need to advance in technology which caused other nations to advance farther then the Romans. They also ââ¬Å"soldâ⬠the seat of emperor to highest bidder. à à à à à In America we do many things that greatly need improving. We ignore major health risks such as AIDs, obesity, health care, nuclear wastes, and illegal drugs. We dump toxic waste in our environment, sprawl like crazy, and fill our televisions with violence and sexual content. We spend millions of dollars and kill thousands of lives from our own country in war and ââ¬Å"conflicts.â⬠We drop huge bombs that kill hundreds of innocence people. à à à à à In both nations there are a lot of similarities. They both have political corruption such as selling the emperor or giving high positions of power to people that have a personal relationship with a higher power. They also share a high unemployment rate whether it is because of outsourcing or slave labor. They both spend lots of money on the military because of unprotected borders or threats. à à à à à America clearly does have some faults but most of them can and hopefully will be solved.

Generational Difference
Generational difference Sometimes, I sit and wonder why living habits, trends and living standards never change. I live in a world where there is more technology and freedom than my parents had during their young adulthood. I have always wondered what people are thinking when they do things they know are wrong such as killing someone or stealing something. Sometimes it is very hard to see things from other peopleââ¬â¢s point of view. The differences in our minds, ages, and personalities, When I look at my parents I see someone I look up to someone I admire. My grandparents are a whole other story.I was sitting in my grandparentââ¬â¢s living room having dinner; my grandmother was walking around not eating seeing if she could get anything for anyone. She did everything for us. Especially my papaw she does everything for him fixes his dinner, his drink, lays out his clothes, itââ¬â¢s like sheââ¬â¢s his servant. Do not misunderstand me. When I marry I will do everything for m y husband. But I expect a certain amount of respect in return the bible says in Colossians 3:19ââ¬Å"Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with themâ⬠. My papaw does respect my grandmother but not enough in my opinion. So as you can see this is due to our generational gap. When my grandma was a young woman she was expected to marry have children and care for the home. This day in age it doesnââ¬â¢t matter, more and more women would rather stay single then cook and clean for her husband. They would prefer to ââ¬Å"play the fieldâ⬠and thatââ¬â¢s fine so long as you are rooted and grounded in the word of God. The bible says in Hebrew 13:4 ââ¬Å"Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. â⬠In other word keep yourself pure for your husband or wife!
